She is so talented and I just love her voice. Elina, aka Dear Euphoria, has released a new video from the album This Night Will Flee.
The photo of Elina was taken last year and published in the book Vägen till Sångerna, a book about Swedish singer-songwriters written by Stefan Warnqvist.

What I love the most about my job is the variety in general and variety of people I get to meet in particular. Yesterday I photographed a ballerina; a couple of days prior I photographed a punk rock band.
It’s really just a sneak peak. The ballet images will be my entry at the APPA Awards (Australian Professional Photography Awards). The Slagsterz will release new material and the photos will be used in the press release.

Vägen till sångerna (the road to the songs) is an anthology with interviews of contemporary Swedish singer-songwriters written by Stefan Warnqvist. A discussion about their work, influences and creative process are brought together into a book including discographies and photos.
Dungen, Taken by Trees, Timo Räisänen, Elin Sigvardsson and Dear Euphoria are a few of the musicians that are interviewed. Some of my photos of Elina Johansson aka Dear Euphoria are published in the book.

Dear Euphoria, aka Elina Johansson is releasing their new EP very soon and we took some press release photos.
I love the soft eerie sound of Dear Euphoria and liked to reflect that in the images.
We had planned an outdoor shoot, but the rain started to pour down when we got to the location so we quickly had to change plans. And Elina walked through the underground all flowery; she looked like a fairy escaped from a saga in the grey concrete around us.

I talked to Robert Wells before his Australian tour and met him when he played at Manchester Lane in Melbourne.
He is instantly recognised in his native country Sweden, perhaps less so on his first Australian tour and there were a lot of Swedish ladies in the crowd.

Australian singer/songwriter Tash Parker asked me to take some stage photos, so I went down to Collingwood and sat in on a gorgeous live act at the Vibe in Melbourne. So beautiful.

This was a couple of years before Sweet Disposition and the Temper Trap was still waiting on their break. The band was supporting Howling Bells and if Temper Trap was new to me at the time, Howling Bells certainly was not. I remember playing their debut album, Howling Bells, over and over again.
